The G-Speed range are all ultra fast (81GB / min), 8-Bay, Thunderbolt 2.0, multiple RAID configurable large hard drive systems designed for high end workflows, storage and archiving.
We offer a range of G-Speed XL units including the G-Speed Studio XL, the G-Speed Studio XL with EV ports, the G-Speed Shuttle XL and the G-Speed Shuttle XL with EV ports. The models with EV ports are designed for you to be able to slot in your portable G-Drive EV's for content upload or streamlined set to edit workflows. The G-Speed XL range come in capacities of 24TB, 32TB, 36TB, 40TB, 48TB, 60TB, 64TB & 80TB.
To get the maximum combination of safety and speed out of your G-Speed XL, we at MediaDrives.ie recommend setting your unit to 'RAID 5', which means you lose 25% of your storage capacity (so a 24TB becomes an 18TB) but in the unlikely event one or even 2 of the four internal enterprise class drives failing over the years, your data is still fully protected and can be rebuilt from the remaining internal drives.
